So today I wanted to try to use a few different techniques instead of just my crankbaits. I made a promise that I would not use any cranks and I would throw jigs and swimbaits, and anything else. I didnt catch any fish at the one pond I go to normally so came back to Foster Lake and tried to catch a few before the sun went down. I caught one but I didnt set the hook good and it came off. I was using a swimbait and it hit it as I was about to pull it out to cast again. It was about 4 feet infront off me so I didnt get a chance to get a good hook set.

I took this really awesome picture as the sun was going down.

So I have been showing all these pictures of the bass I have caught on this pond and I have not shown any pictures of this beautiful place. So here are a few of the pond I like to fish near my school.
4/05/09
This is my favorite picture this year. I fished the same pond again and I did not get a single bite this day. There was a big cold front the day before and it was cold a few days earlier as well. I thought that they would be biting really well today. I decided to go to the opposite side of the pond and got my first bite and this really beautiful fish. I love the colors of this bass and the picture is awesome with the sky in the background. I love this little pond.

These are three more from the pond caught on 4/31/09 basically in the same spot. Two were caught using a Rattle Trap and one was caught using a El Grange Swimbait.

These are some of the bass I caught on Tuesday 3/30/09 the first of 2009.
The first picture is of my new setup. Its a 7 Foot Medium Heavy Berkley Lightning Shock Series Rod with a Abu Garcia Revo S reel. All three of the bass were caught using a Ratlle Trap on the pause of the retrieve. The bass were all in a weed bed in my favorite little spot on this pond near my college.
